Job overview

We are looking for an experienced Therapy Outpatient Booking Officer to join our busy Therapies Stats Team to ensure that referrals for therapy outpatient appointments are processed in line with our response standards and patients are booked in according to their clinical needs. The role of Therapy Outpatient Booking Officer requires accurate and efficient data entry on to Cerner, and an awareness of wider reporting requirements and deadlines.

Main duties of the job

You should be able to work as part of a very busy team and under your own initiative. As well as having excellent communication, organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills, you will need to be flexible and adaptable, have an appreciation of the confidential nature of the work and be able to manage a workload to meet pre-determined deadlines. You should have a pleasant telephone manner and be able to deal with difficult calls if necessary.

Experience of using Cerner is preferred.

  • Evidence of good standard general Education, including Qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Knowledge and personal examples of data entry and associated software acquired via diploma or equivalent experience/ qualification.
