Job overview
The post holder will be a member of the professional team to lead on all ensuring records are updated and manages. Working directly to the Head of Strategic Healthcare Planning and also the wider Directorate as and when required. The role holder will hold specialist skills in order to manage the Trust Estate data, including AutoCAD, AEC, Revit. As an experienced CAD / BIM Technician, you will work as part of a specialist team delivering accurate and meaningful graphical information to support existing site utilisation and site strategic planning. This data will ensure patient and staff safety through Homerton Healthcare’s estate. The post holder will lead on the development of standardisation of practices and processes within their area of responsibility to support the delivery of modern Estates services and a customer care focused approach to delivery. The post holder will lead by example providing a professional, positive customer focused ethos and will strive to deliver high quality outcomes.
Main duties of the job
- Managing and information governance of Estate data sources/systems not limited to CAD, AEC and Revit
- Producing drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD from a variety of schemes from business-as-usual drawings to complex high profile Trust schemes. Drawings and information are to be developed in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures.
- Working in collaboration with engineers, projects managers and the wider Environment Directorate to ensure that a concept meets the project specification and standards.
- Managing reporting flows, producing design reports, schedules and specifications.
- Management of all record information; updating drawings to support maintenance changes, and keeping drawings for all construction projects updated.
- Participation on site visits and audits and surveying visits to ensure that data can be validated.
- Managing data within a 3D environment to enable to Trust to develop wider strategies such as BIM.
- This role requires someone with an analytical mindset to annotate a number of data sources, interrogate data and seek clarification and engagement from a variety of teams to ensure quality data.
- Co-ordination of support/management required for specialist projects such as CAFM implementation. Ensuring that appropriate records and drawings are held and up to date.

- Educated to Masters level or with equivalent relevant experience at a senior level in health and/or social care.
