Job overview
Are you an innovative and experienced dietitian with a passion for haematology, nutrition support including parenteral nutrition & and service improvement? Do you thrive on leading, developing, and mentoring team members? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled lead haematology dietitian, that will have a combined role of working with our St. Mark's Nutrition Support Team to join our dynamic Nutrition & Dietetics department. This is a pivotal role that will see you shape and advance our haematology dietetic service, and develop your parenteral nutrition skills, ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care.
Main duties of the job
You would an integral part of the ward multi-disciplinary teams for haematology and oncology inpatients, as well as a surgical caseload. You will also support the St. Mark's Nutrition Team, and help cover during periods of leave. This role is part of the acute dietetic team based at Northwick Park Hospital and as the senior member of the team covering the nutrition support wards you would be responsible for helping junior members of staff with case loading and providing regular clinical support. The successful applicant will have a varied and interesting caseload and develop their leadership skills. You will have opportunities to be involved in audit, service development and innovation within the department and wider Trust. You will offer leadership, supervision and support to junior staff within the dietetics team and deliver education and training. You will participate in the nutrition support evidence based learning group and be central to the promotion of nutrition support across the department, specialist areas and Trust.
The ideal candidate would have strong oral and enteral nutrition experience in specialist areas. Previous experience in the areas of haematology is desirable but not essential. They should be focused on providing a high-quality dietetic service which is responsive to the changing needs of the NHS and this patient group. You will be encouraged to actively participate in developing the service both clinically and strategically.

Essential criteria
- HCPC registered
- • 4 Year Degree in Dietetics or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- • Evidence of further postgraduate study in dietetics e.g. Diploma in Advanced Dietetic Practice.
