London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWUHT) is seeking a Highly Specialist Clinical Physiologist in Neurology to join the
Neurophysiology team at Central Middlesex Hospital.

 

 

Main duties of the job

• Provides routine EEG and specialised adult and paediatric Clinical Neurophysiology services across a range of procedures to patients
with developmental, neurological and/or psychiatric disorders referred to the departments from across the Trust and other hospitals.
This includes analysis and interpretation of data and the provision of patient Reports.
• Supports the EMG service in the department and on the wards and provides routine and specialised nerve conduction studies.
• Actively contribute and implement policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in training, education and assessment in line with National and Professional requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance and/or research and developmental programmes.
• Works collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with others to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the service.
• Supports the training of student physiologists within the department.

Essential criteria
  • BSc Hons Clinical Physiology Neurophysiology
Desirable criteria
  • ECNE Part 11 MSc or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Appropriate post qualification experience.
  • Practical experience
  • Specialist skills & knowledge within the relevant field.
  • Able to quantify and evaluate specialist Neurophysiological investigation
Desirable criteria
  • Supervisory experience Management experience
  • Knowledge of management skills
  • Knowledge of teaching & Assessment practice
