Main duties of the job
Occupational Therapy at LNWUH NHS Trust is a therapeutic discipline that aims to provide person centred evidence based assessment and interventions that promote independence and quality of life following a period of illness, injury or disability. An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the rotational scheme within the Trust.
This is your chance to thrive on variety and exposure as you rotate across various Trust hospitals (Northwick Park, Ealing and Central Middlesex) and disciplines every 5 months. It’s the ideal role for a Band 5 occupational therapist who wants to broaden their horizons, gain new skills and become a strong OT. The rotations available to you are:
- Trauma and Orthopaedics(including introduction to Hand Therapy)
- Medicine(Cardiology, Respiratory and Endocrinology)
- Surgical and Vascular(including Amputee management)
- Elderly Medicine
- Neurology(Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and Community Early Supported Stroke Discharge Team)
- Elective orthopaedics & Specialist Gastroenterological surgery
- Acute Medical Units
- Early Supported Discharge Team(STARRS)
