Job overview
London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the largest integrated care trusts in the country bringing together hospital and community services across Brent, Ealing and Harrow.
We are inviting applications for a Locum (10 PA) Consultant Gastroenterologist post at Ealing to join the busy Gastroenterology team. The posts has arisen following a substantive Consultant taking a year-long career break.
The posts offer opportunities in Endoscopy, as well as contribute to the academic and educational activities of the Directorate and to link in with the academic work of St Mark’s Hospital, our specialist Bowel Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will join the existing Gastroenterology team (7 Consultants) at Ealing Hospital in the provision of Gastroenterology and Liver services. The successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing the most up to date evidence based care for patients. Applicants should have established skills and experience in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.

Essential criteria
- MRCP
Desirable criteria
- MD, PhD or equivalent
Registration
Essential criteria
- GMC Registered with a licence to practice
Desirable criteria
- GMC Registration Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Broad based training in Gastroenterology and subspecialities
- Independent in diagnostic and therapeutic UGI endoscopy
- Broad based general professional training in general medicine
Desirable criteria
- NHS experience within the last 3 years
- ALS certification
- ERCP
Teaching
Essential criteria
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of ongoing interest and achievement in research

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
