Job overview
Specialty Doctor in Radiology
LNWUH NHS Trust is looking for dynamic and motivated radiologist to join a team of 60 consultants, two staff grade doctors and 24 residents working collaboratively across the three sites to provide high quality imaging service.
The successful candidates will contribute to the broad spectrum of work undertaken by our team with a focus on subspeciality work as detailed in the job descriptions.
The Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is based at Ealing Hospital and provides a wide range of imaging facilities with brand new state of the art equipment, serving patients from the London North West Sector.
Post-holders will be expected to cover activities on other sites as required. Commitments will include relevant MDTs, imaging-guided procedures, plain radiograph, CT and MRI reporting.
Main duties of the job
General responsibilities will include acute, elective and on call work. Teaching and training are actively encouraged. There will be an on-call commitment which will include weekend working. Opportunities for teaching and management are ample.
The department is highly regarded across London, having developed innovative and integrated solutions in response to the changing needs of patients and clinical teams. The service has expanded to meet rising clinical demand and provides a wide range of diagnostic services using state of the art equipment, much of which has been and will continue to be replaced and upgraded.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Recognised medical degree
- MSK US (Independent)
- Independent Plain Film Reporting
- Full FRCR or overseas equivalent
- Cross-sectional reporting
Desirable criteria
- MSK US interventional experience
- MRCP, MRCS or similar diploma (recognised in the UK
Registration
Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration with licence to practice
- NHS experience within the last 2 years – in an acute setting involving cross-site working
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential criteria
- IT Skills and computer literacy
- Broad based training in all modalities of Clinical Radiology that will enable full participation with the general workload and with the on-call rota. Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care
Desirable criteria
- Fellowship or advanced training / accreditation in a subspecialist area of imaging.
Teaching
Essential criteria
- Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff

- MD or PhD
