The Hillingdon  Hospital

Rapid Response Domestic Assistant 35 hours per week The shift pattern covers five shifts per week and covers Monday to Sunday.

 

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

We are clear that our Vision can only be achieved by our staff who are our most valuable asset. The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust comprises of the Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals. Our Facilities department provide a range of vital support services across the Hospital including cleaning, portering and housekeeping 24/7. We are now recruiting Rapid response domestic assistants to join our friendly and professional team at The Hillingdon Hospital.

The rapid response team provide a deep cleaning service to vacated patient beds across the site. There is a requirement in some cases to wear full PPE. You will also be required to facilitate the cleaning of the external grounds on a rota. The ability to work flexibly and complete a range of shifts is essential. Typically the shifts are 0600-1330, 0800-1600, 1100-1830, 1400-2200 and occasionally to complete a night shift i.e. 2200-0600.

Our domestic team take pride in ensuring all areas of the hospital meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all patient, visitor and staff areas. For these positions, it is desirable to have previous cleaning experience but not essential, we can provide full training. You will however need to have:

· good communication skills both written and verbal

· be able to demonstrate good customer service skills

The posts detailed above are based at Hillingdon Hospital which is based in Uxbridge

  • Carry out all routine cleaning duties at the prescribed times and compliance with the specific ward/department policies and procedures at all times including any changes to methods or frequencies of work scheduling. 
  • Liaise with ward hostess in any regard concerning services to the patients, for instance maintenance issues, requests etc. 
  • Use and care of approved cleaning materials and equipment at all times in accordance with the operator instructions.
