Job overview
· Provide specialist nurse-led Tuberculosis (TB) services Trust wide to minimise/reduce the impact of TB
· Provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team in line with local and national targets.
· Provide specialist nursing care and support and deputise for their line manager in the management of their clinical speciality. This will involve dealing with complex situations and having to take appropriate action in a variety of settings.
· To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and to provide cover for any of the 3 hospital sites (Northwick Park, Ealing and Central Middlesex), acting as professional role model providing direct and indirect clinical care, teaching and research
Main duties of the job
· Provision of specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers.
· Act as specialist resource for patients and the clinical team by the provision of comprehensive advice, information, teaching and training both within LNWUH Trust and externally.
· Actively contribute to nursing research with published outcomes and set quality standards within the specialty.
· Activity contribute to the team annual report and clinical audit of the service and the team’s performance within one calendar month of the end of the financial year.
· Actively contribute to the development of the service nationally and locally.
· Achieve all KPIs individually and ensure that all the specialty teams’ KPIs are met.

- first level degree in nursing/related subject
Desirable criteria
- Masters level learning or willingness to work towards
Skills & Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive post registration experience at Band 6 in TB/Infectious diseases.
- Leadership and staff management experience at Band 6.
