Band 3 Acute Floor Administration Coordinator

Acute Medicine / Emergency Services

 

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Team here at Northwick Park Hospital. The admin coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and visitors who are attending, referred or admitted to the Acute Floor.

 

A key aspect of the role is the accurate and timely input of electronic admission, discharge and referral information as well as entering clinical data into the coding module of ICS, ensuring that Trust targets are achieved.

 

The post holder will be available to work 12.5 hourly shifts on a rotational shift pattern, with the appropriate breaks. This consists of weekdays, weekends and Public holidays.

 

The post holder may work in the following areas on a rotational basis –Dryden / HDU ward, Dickens Ward, Ambulatory Care Unit, Crick Unit, Darwin Unit and AMUL5

 

The post holder will adhere to Trust policy with regards to the sensitive information that patients are providing and all aspects of the Data Protection Act 1998.

The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust’s sites however this position will be based at Northwick Park Hospital within the Acute Floor area.

 

The admin coordinator is required to work flexibly within the post to achieve the role outcome.

 

Main duties of the job
