Specialist Pain Physiotherapist

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Bury Integrated Pain Service, a multi-disciplinary pain service.  You will work alongside and be supported by advanced physiotherapy practitioners.  You will also receive additional training and support from the multi-disciplinary team, including clinical psychologists, pain consultants, Mental Health Advanced Practitioners and liaison psychiatrists.  The role will involve the management of patients on an individual basis and delivering multi-disciplinary pain management programmes at locations across Bury. 

The successful applicant will be either an experienced band 6 or existing band 7 who are looking to progress their careers and specialise in this area.  They will have extensive experience and evidence of skills and training required for a band 7 pain post.  They will be able to demonstrate evidence of excellent bio-psychosocial assessment skills and the outstanding communication skills required to successfully deliver pain management interventions. 

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

Specialist bio-psychosocial assessment of patients with complex pain conditions Delivery of individualised pain management interventions Co-delivery of multidisciplinary pain management programmes

The therapy service is working towards a 7 day model and as such you will be expected to be flexible in terms of working patterns including weekends, bank holidays and extra hours if necessary.
