Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Transformation Team supporting our acute and community services with a variety of productivity, efficiency, quality and safety improvement programmes. We are looking for a dynamic Band 8a Transformation Manager who is highly motivated and innovative to join a dynamic team and lead on several improvement projects concurrently across the Trust. It is a site based role with a maximum of 1 day per week working from home.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants are required to have experience of projects and change management. They will need to be organised, show enthusiasm, demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills to ensure high standards are continuously met.  They will be leading on up to four programmes of work at any one time.

Essential criteria
  • • Educated to degree, masters level or equivalent diploma level or equivalent experience.
  • • Change/Improvement/ project management qualifications or demonstratable knowledge and experience of methodologies.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist continuous improvement and change management practices
  • Experience using QI methodologies and approaches
  • Knowledge of a range of recognised programme and project management methodologies and approaches.
  • Experience of working in a change management service improvement role at a senior level
  • Track record and successful delivery of large-scale complex projects, organisational change and implementation of sustained improvement and realisation of benefits
  • Demonstrable evidence of previous experience of cultural and behavioural change management
  • Experience of managing complex stakeholder relationships, aligning different stakeholder priorities throughout an end-to-end transformation process
  • Experience of developing positive working relationships, collaboration and partnerships within and across organisations
  • Experience of facilitating learning, public speaking, delivering presentations, e.g. Trust / system wide meetings
  • Experience of the collation, analysis and interpretation of complex information or data
  • Experience of using software packages to support change (eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio)
  • Able to hold people to account to deliver objectives
