Job overview

The post holder will meet and greet the General Public, Clinical and Clerical Staff and will  ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.

The postholder will provide an efficient and professional Reception service ensuring quality service to all users. The post holder will also be required to undertake general clerical duties within the reception.

To have a flexible approach in providing admin support to the multi-disciplinary teams working with a client group with mental health problems. There will be client and carer telephone contact and also, face-to-face contact at some sites and therefore, good communication skills are essential.

 

To meet the needs of the Trust services, you may be required from time to time to work outside of your normal area of work. The Trust reserves the right to change your normal  area of work to any other location within the Trust. There may be a requirement to provide cover for other North Manchester sites reception areas.

Main duties of the job

·       Provide admin support to the clinical team. 

·       Ensure that sufficient stocks of stationery are available to meet the needs of the team without resorting to stockpiling. 

·       Monitor your own performance against agreed objectives as identified in the appraisal process. 

·       Ensuring general tidiness of the reception environment. 

·       Supporting colleagues appropriately with tasks to be carried out whilst covering reception duties. 

Recording messages accurately in the daily diary for all team members

Education/Qualification

Essential criteria
  • RSA level 2, NVQ level 2 or the equivalent experience. Educated to GCSE level for English and Math’s.
Desirable criteria
  • Other relevant IT qualifications

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Have experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Have experience of working in an office environment that ensure confidentiality is maintain at all times
Desirable criteria
  • Have experience of working with members of the public. Including patients/service users
  • Experience of working in healthcare setting
