Staff Nurse - Acute Coronary Care Unit

We have an exciting vacancy for a full time Band 5 Nurse working on a busy Coronary Care Unit!

You will be required to work in partnership with a well established and highly effective multi-disciplinary team, caring for an extremely vulnerable and complex group of patients, with a range of cardiac needs and conditions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced  nurse who wishes to develop their skills or a newly qualified nurse to join our team on the Acute Coronary Care Unit in Wythenshawe Hospital.

We are a 10 bedded level 2 unit providing extensive cardiac services including the running of the regional primary PCI service. Our nurse patient ratio is usually 1:3.

We care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions such as STEMI and NSTEMI's, unstable angina, heart failure, rhythm disturbances and support patients through various interventional cardiac procedures (e.g. angioplasty, ablation, TAVI, etc.)

As a nurse at the Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT), you will benefit from a number of educational programs and career paths. We are committed to the career development of our nurses and will assist you to develop your career in highly specialised clinical area.

This will be an ideal opportunity for experienced nurses who are eager to expand and progress their nursing practice, or junior nurses who would like to develop in the cardiac division. The successful candidate/s will receive full support in education.

We are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in Cardiology who are hard working and passionate about delivering high standards of patient care and are motivated towards maintaining and improving their own skills.

You must  be able to have a flexible working pattern which includes days and nights including bank holidays.
