Commercial Invoice Holds Supervisor

Job overview
As part of the Commercial Holds Team, the post holder will be required to work with Trust Departments, Finance and Procurement to review and resolve Commercial Holds. This will include, liaising with Trust Suppliers, End Users and Budget Holders. The Commercial Holds Supervisor will also be expected to ensure that payments are processed and sent to suppliers in accordance with the credit terms and conditions set, aligning with Trust procedures, Standing Financial Instructions, Standing orders and BPPC.
The post-holder will be responsible for investigating and responding to trust staff and supplier enquiries whilst providing assistance and advice, as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Commercial Holds Team, the post-holder will be expected to ensure that their own work is completed in line with local and national timescales and guidance. The post-holder will be responsible for the management of their own personal workload, reporting any problems to P2P Systems & Development Management Team.
The post holder will also be expected to run the daily holds report, divisional holds report and holds split report and circulate to all relevant Senior Managers and colleagues. This role will also manage a team of 3/4 Commercial Invoice Holds Assistants and support them where necessary in their development and daily activities.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Grade 4 / C in Maths and English or equivalent
- Knowledge of procedures to NVQ level or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Institute of Customer Service Training CIMA / AAT Intermediate, part qualified or NVQ 3 qualified, or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Team Leader / Management experience across a finance function
- Experience in an accounts payable team, public or private
Desirable criteria
- Procurement experience – either private or public
- Experience of working within an NHS Finance Function
- Experience of working with an automated invoicing system.
Skills
Essential criteria
- Good communication
- Effective organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under own initiative

- The ability to analyse and interpret complex data
Desirable criteria
