We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000.  We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Brecon Beacons.

Two rare and exciting opportunities have arisen to join maternity services at Prince Charles Hospital and Princess of Wales Hospital at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The Head of Midwifery is a role to further enhance, support and strengthen the midwifery leadership structure in the delivery of excellent, high quality maternity services. 

The Head of Midwifery will be enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking and display dynamic leadership qualities to engage and inspire others. 

The  two Heads of Midwifery roles will work closely together and with the Director of Midwifery to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality maternity services. 

As the Head of Midwifery, you will promote excellence in care, quality improvement and excellent women's experience. 

Working collaboratively with the leadership team and all stakeholders, you will drive forward quality improvements to the service in line with the Maternity Improvement Programme.
