If you do we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Community Musculoskeletal Team working in partnership with  MSK Alliance. 

We are looking for an individual, who is an excellent team worker, who is self motivated and able to keep an up-to-date knowledge base in a friendly and supportive environment.  This  position involves the  assessment and treatment of adult patients with a variety of presentations to determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment where indicated and to maintain appropriate care records.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering high quality, patient focused physiotherapy interventions to all service users as part of the as part of the Musculoskeletal Therapy Team. Your caseload will consist of a wide variety of both acute & chronic musculoskeletal conditions. 

The successful applicant will be fully supported and we have a varied skill mix within the team. You will have opportunity to join and  participate in  the in-service training programme & the supervision of students. 

We have a structured in-service training programme, regular clinical supervision, mentoring and peer support.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To manage a personal caseload , use physiotherapeutic assessment for patients , determine a clinical diagnosis and plan appropriate management
and treatment using clinical reasoning skills and a range of therapeutic techniques

To work effectively both independently and as a team member

To communicate condition related information to patients in an understandable manner, to enable rehabilitation and shared decision making to take place. 


To ensure a high standard of clinical care by the use of evidence based practice and outcome measures, keeping up to date with clinical developments
To respect patients’ privacy and dignity and as their rights as individuals.

To complete clinical records to Trust and HCPC standards

To be personally accountable for maintaining skill,
knowledge and competence in the use of Information technology which supports patient care.

To participate in documentation audits.

Travel between locations as a part of the role. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
