Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ophthalmology team within the Ambulatory Care Division of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are looking to appoint to the following post;
Patient Pathway Administrator Band 3
22.5 hours per week working 3 days per week between the hours of 8am - 5pm.
Ideally the successful candidate will have previous administration experience and working within an office environment.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a team the post holder will provide a high quality of administrative support to consultants and clinical teams to ensure typing of clinic letters is completed accurately within set timeframes.
Accurately transcribe clinical letters, producing a high quality of work within defined deadlines
Use judgment and initiative to prioritise importance and urgency of tasks
Establish and maintain admin systems and databases
Deal with consultant and clinic queries

- Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust’s behavioural standards
Experience
Essential criteria
- Proven typing and admin experience
- Can complete letters, forms, reports and tables using computerised technology from information collected
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working in the NHS and experience using MS Office, Medway PAS and Notis.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and Judgement skills

- Able to complete tasks using own initiative
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
