Job overview
A great opportunity has arisen for a dietetic administrator to join the small, friendly Community Dietetics Team based at East Oxford Health Centre to provide administrative support.
You will undertake a range of administrative duties including managing telephone calls and messages, correspondence with GPs and booking clinics.
Please note this role is going through job evaluation and so some duties may change.
Main duties of the job
- To provide administrative support to the dietitians within the Community Nutrition and Dietetic Department including general administrative tasks, IT support and to act as the shared focal point for communications within the department
- To support dietitians in delivering the dietetic service by undertaking related administration predominantly the electronic patient record (EPR) system, Outlook, and Excel.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Form part of the administration team in completing general office tasks. This will include answering and dealing with telephone calls and messages, preparation of written support material, photocopying, e-mail communications, booking appointments and general department wide administration.
- Be responsible for the administration and registration of referrals to the team using the EPR system (EMIS) Docman and any other relevant IT services.
- To assist the Dietitians with administration in relation to the patient caseloads including typing of letters, sending GP letters via the Docman service and taking phone calls/messages/contacting patients.
