Job overview
Are you an enthusiatic and experienced nurse looking for a new challenge? A rare opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and supportive team as a breast nurse practitioner for a 1 year secondment.
You will work within the breast team across both our Doncaster and Bassetlaw sites.
Main duties of the job
The post holder would work alongside the consultants in breast 2ww clinics, examining and assessing patients and would undertake independent nurse led clinics and wound assessments.
You would also be responsible for the day to day running of clinics in the absence of the band 7.

Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- First level Registered Nurse – current NMC Registration
- Up to date knowledge of professional issues
- IT literate
- Evidence of mandatory training updates
Desirable criteria
- Degree or study related to speciality /role at level 6
- Demonstrate professional development post registration
- Non-medical prescribing
- Teaching qualification
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant post registration experience at Band 5 or above
- Specialist interest and Knowledge in Breast
- Highly specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience
- Experience of multi professional working
- Experience of teaching
Desirable criteria
- Research and development activity
- Clinical expertise in the specific role
- Experience running and managing nurse led clinics independently

- Excellent communication skills including written and presentation
