Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals for a Digital Practitioner to work within the CNIO office and digital team.
The Trust is looking for an enthusiastic individual to strengthen and support our existing Digital Transformation team in delivering successful digital solutions across all services, as well as supporting our EPR deployment. Applicants must have clinical background, and an active clinical registration) and possess experience in delivering training and supporting delivery of projects within tight timescales.

Main duties of the job
Key roles and responsibilities are to support the role out and embed the DBTH Digital Transformation strategy and support clinical areas as part of the deployment team, with a key focus on Trust wide documentation.
Working as a vital part of DBTH they will be integral to the success of the DBTH Digital Transformation Programme and will support the champion in enabling staff to develop and improve patient information systems and processes across clinical services in the Trust.
The post holder will provide practical support to the clinical teams to take forward new ways of working related to clinical IT and to continually seek service improvement. The post holder will support the deployment team to ensure that the goals of the overall programme plan are met and working collaboratively with the clinical, IT and Supplier Deployment Teams deliver new systems in support of DBTH clinical staff including mobile technologies and EPR.
Improving patient safety, quality and patient experience is an explicit priority rather than an assumption and needs to underpin all elements of digital initiatives.
The post holder will be expected to work across all sites.

Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional or equivalent experience in a relevant digital role
- Evidence of continued post-registration development.
- Educated to first degree level, working towards, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- Teaching qualification or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
- Relevant qualification/personal development in Digital Transformation /Leadership/Change Management
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Proven post-registration experience in an acute setting and Band 5 or above
- Ability to demonstrate a broad knowledge of secondary care patient pathways
- Experience of designing training packages
- Delivering training on a 1-1 or group basis in a formal and informal settings
- Proven experience of leading and managing change and demonstrate ability influence people and encourage change
- Excellent clinical skills demonstrating a thorough knowledge and understanding of the care and management of patients across a range of specialities
- Competent user of Microsoft packages.
- An ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of governance processes
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and experience of Project and Programme Management processes, delivery and post-implementation cycle
- Commitment to learn about and implement new technology and processes to enhance patient care and personal/team performance
- Skills in data analysis, using packages such as Excel
