An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Contract Manager to join the Digital Business Management team within Digital Transformation

The team manages around 150 contracts, with plans to consolidate them over the next year to ensure best value. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge to manage digital contracts effectively, holding regular review meetings with suppliers, engaging with key Trust stakeholders such as IAOs, system managers, technical leads, and clinical and administrative teams to ensure contracts meet KPIs and SLAs.

We are seeking someone enthusiastic, adaptable ,committed, confident working with staff at all levels, able to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure. If you’re motivated by supporting frontline teams with digital tools and improving how we deliver care, we’d love to hear from you. As part of the Digital team, you will support the Digitising Health Records programme and work on contracts that enhance patient safety, quality and staff experience, helping us develop efficient, modern, paper-light processes.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work with clinical teams, digital colleagues and Supplier Deployment Teams to implement digital solutions, streamline workflows and embed sustainable change within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

The successful candidate will be based at Doncaster but may work across any DBTH site, with occasional flexibility required depending on service needs.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Proven experience of digital contract management.
  • Conversant with information management and technology.
  • Demonstrate solid achievement in their current role.
  • Ability to review and contribute to the writing of contracts.
  • Ability to negotiate income and expenditure digital contracts to the benefit of the Trust.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of ICT procurement within the NHS.
  • Experience of carrying out procurements from conception to evaluation and implementation.

Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level in management or ICT subject or equivalent experience
  • Must hold CIPS Level 4 with active professional registration
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Negotiation Training
  • Report writing
  • CIPS Level 5
  • ITIL foundation
  • Project Management e.g. PRINCE2 foundation

Personal Attributes & Skills

Essential criteria
  • Proven ability to operate/think laterally and work on own initiative
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and contracts.
  • Ability to deal with highly complex, sensitive information of a contractual nature.
  • Articulate with practised and developed interpersonal communication and presentational skills.
  • Creative, innovative and visionary mind set.
  • Advanced Keyboard Skills; including Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to produce plans to achieve short term and long-term savings
  • Able to prioritise own and teams work within imposed deadlines
  • Have a flexible approach to working and be available to work outside normal hours as and when required.

  • Experience of complex evaluation and market and economic analysis
