Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our well established Band 5 rotation. The successful candidates will join the Band 5 Rotation, which gives the opportunity to gain experience in a number of specialist areas.
The ability to work flexibly, over 7 days is essential. Applications open to Occupational Therapy graduates, final year students or return to practice candidates with or working towards HCPC registration.

We support Return to Practice professionals and would welcome your application.
There will be a requirement to work across all sites, DRI, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital Mexborough. The rotations include Acute Medicine and Surgery, Orthopaedics, Acute and Rehabilitation Stroke Services, Paediatrics, Integrated discharge team/A&E and General and Stroke Rehabilitation at Montagu Hospital. We are currently joining our Band 5 Rotation with the RDaSH Trust, in addition to the rotations avibale at DBTH, there will be the opportunity to access their rotations which include Long term conditions (Community Hub), Enhanced Care home team, Stroke outreach, Neurology rehab, Mental health and Inpatient general Rehab.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the organisation and provision of occupational therapy services through participation in a 6 monthly rotation scheme at Band 5 level working across hospital sites in a range of specialist areas.
Providing occupational therapy assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions in a variety of clinical areas using evidence based practice and patient-centred principles.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a range of specialist areas at student placement level
- Experience of working as part of an OT and a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working at Assistant level.
- Experience of working in other health settings
Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or working towards completion
- Registered healthcare professional (HCPC) or student due to qualify as a healthcare professional (HCPC)
Desirable criteria
- BAOT Membership
- Portfolio evidence of learning and reflective practice
