Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Receptionist/Clinic Clerk, to join the Clinical Specialties Services Division within Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital Trust.
The Division would therefore like to invite applications for this Band 2 Clinical Receptionist post within the Pre-Operative Department at Bassetlaw.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about challenges of a busy working and constantly changing environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and to achieve strict deadlines. You will be a highly motivated individual, with the ability to motivate and influence others, suggest and implement ideas to improve service performance and efficiency and will have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a multi professional team your main objectives will be to provide full reception duties within Pre-Operative Service, developing efficient and effective services, managing resources to achieve national and local quality and performance targets. You will be responsible for working closely with the central booking services and Team Leaders providing expertise in the proactive management of patient pathways.
You will be responsible for the day to day reception duties of the Pre-Operative Service outpatient services as well as the clinic preparation duties, ensuring effective management of referrals and appointments, monitoring and reporting capacity and demand when required to the team leader on behalf of the service.

- 3 GCSE/O Level Equivalent which should include Math’s and English (Level 5/Grade C or above) Keyboard skills

- Previous clerical/admin experience
- Face to face Customer Service role Reception role
- Basic clerical, answering telephones, filing
- Keyboard skills
