Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Inventory Management Team within our Procurement Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary Hospital. As an Inventory Management Team Leader, you will be assisting the Inventory Team Manager and line managing a team. 

You will ensure the agreed stock levels in all Locations within Doncaster Royal Infirmary Hospital are kept to their correct maximum level.

This position requires a very motivated individual along with strong leadership skills to assist the Inventory Team Manager in the delivery of an effective and efficient stock management Service to Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Communication skills will be essential, as you’ll work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers

The role will involve management of all Inventory Management Staff and from time to time going to Bassetlaw and Mexborough Hospitals to assist the Inventory Team Manager.

Essential criteria
  • To be able to demonstrate appropriate level, of skill with electronic purchasing systems and stock management systems

Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Supply Chain Management
  • Competent in stock management systems

Personal Attributes & Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent Communication skills, (both verbal and in writing)
  • Ability to carry out stock analysis
  • Able to prioritise and work within deadlines
  • Demonstrate the capability to carry out routine daily Inventory Management activities including replenishment of stock, with the flexibility to move between all sites of DTBH.
