Job overview
This role involves providing guidance and support for implementing risk management systems and policy compliance procedures throughout the Trust. It ensures that all management levels are able to meet their obligations regarding risk management, operational risk registers, and policy compliance.
To become one of the in-house experts for the Datix Risk Module, supporting colleagues to be fully trained and confident in the use of the product, ensuring that correct data entry leads to accurate statistical reports and that the Trust is able to utilise the system to its fullest. Providing administrative support and preparing agendas for the Risk Management Group meetings and other risk management meetings.
To manage the lifecycle of policies within the Trust, including their creation, approval, implementation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with the policy, coordinating documentation, supporting policy authors, maintaining up-to-date records and providing administrative support for policy development and reviews.
This role ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. The postholder exercises autonomy in managing their workload and contributes to decision-making regarding risk and policy processes.

Essential criteria
- GCSEs (A–C) including English and Maths or equivalent
- Degree in risk management or business topic or working towards a degree or equivalent experience
- Evidence of on-going professional development in the last 3 years
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- PRINCE 2 qualification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Skills to manage complex information gathering with a high level of accuracy
- Experience of developing and maintaining administrative and management systems
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Datix risk management system or Monday.com
