Job overview

2x 21.00 hour posts on a 7 on 7 off rota pattern .

Applicants must be able to achieve a high standard of cleanliness and provide a clean and safe hospital environment for staff, patients and visitors in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness and customer's care.

Catering service also provided to ward areas so experience in catering services desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicants.

Main duties of the job

Duties include but not limited to – Emptying of bins, vacuum cleaning, mopping, buffing/scrubbing of floors, damp dusting all furniture/fittings, replenishing and cleaning of all sanitary areas.

Catering service also provided on ward areas.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Ability to use a computer to input data, send and receive emails, and undertake e-learning
Desirable criteria
  • Working in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Cleaning experience
