We are looking for someone to join our team at Emerald Lodge, where you will provide clinical leadership and supervision within an inpatient setting.
We are dedicated to ongoing development and providing high-quality care for young people and families. We offer assessment, collaborative care, and treatment for young people facing mental health challenges, including low mood, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, autistic spectrum conditions, self-harm risks, and diagnostic uncertainty.

Registered RMN/RNLD

Experience in the mental health field, with an understanding of mental health conditions, interventions and risk management strategies

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Lodge Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Provide skilled nursing care, observing NMC Code of Conduct.

Supervise and help develop junior nurses and staff.

Advocate for patients.

Plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care for an allocated patient group, using prioritisation and delegation.

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure care delivery for Trust patients.

Support and deputise for the Lodge Manager

Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- Degree or Diploma Level Education as Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse (RMN/RNLD)
- Teaching, Mentoring and Assessors qualification
- Current registration with NMC
- Relevant post registration qualification as required for speciality i.e family therapy, CBT, parenting courses.
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional development.
Desirable criteria
- Relevant Post Basic Registration Course Leadership and Management training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial experience within mental health/learning disability
- Mentoring experience with nursing students and training/development teaching of junior colleagues
Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions, therapeutic interventions, and risk management strategies
- Knowledge of legal frameworks relevant to CAMHS
- Ability to dynamically risk assess clinical situations and respond appropriately.
- Ability to manage complex and challenging situations with empathy
- Ability to organise and delegate workload within a team to meet deadlines.
- Able to use own initiative and problem solve.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages and different electronic systems
Desirable criteria
- Experience in Nursing Speciality of ward or department
- Restraint and reducing restrictive interventions training
