We are looking for someone to join our team and support the smooth execution of high-level meetings, including those for the Executive Team and Board. You will help manage corporate governance activities and ensure compliance with NHS regulations. You will coordinate meetings, take minutes, prepare reports, and handle logistics for different sessions and workshops.
You will be detail oriented, organised, and able to manage complex tasks while working with senior teams.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Head of Corporate Governance, your responsibilities will include:

Support the Governance Director and Head of Corporate Governance to ensure smooth execution of Executive Team and Board Committees, including room/catering bookings, preparing meeting packs on time, meeting setup, and ensuring accurate minutes are drafted.

Help develop and maintain the committees' forward plan.

Manage the practical arrangements for Executive Team and Management Board development sessions, workshops, and training.

Prepare post-Committee reports, summarising main issues and actions for Board assurance on behalf of the committee chairs.

Essential criteria
- Degree in business administration or similar or equivalent demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria
- NHS Company secretarial qualification – Manchester Business School, CASS or ICSA
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of complex minute taking
- Extensive administrative experience
- Experience of working with senior professionals at Board / Executive Directors / Senior Manager level
- Experience of working within a complex environment
- Experience of co-ordinating projects / project management
Desirable criteria
- NHS experience
- Experience in a corporate role supporting Board/Sub Committees and/or high level corporate governance functions
Knowledge and skills
Essential criteria
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office package as a minimum
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately and to high standards, particularly when under pressure
- Understanding of office protocols
- Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
