Job overview

Part Time| Working Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 4.30pm.

We're looking for Domestic Assistants to help keep our hospital spaces clean, fresh, and welcoming. You'll help ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors by using modern cleaning methods and equipment across different areas including bathrooms, floors, carpets, and surfaces.

About You: You're someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces. You'll have experience working in a domestic role or a public-facing environment, and you'll be detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a supportive team. You bring a positive attitude and a commitment to high standards.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

This post involves cleaning ceilings, windows, window frames, removing radiator covers to clean the radiators, vents, wall washing, changing curtains, steam cleaning of beds, cots and other fixtures and fittings.

Please note the successful candidate will need to transport high ladders, beds and cots around the hospital and be able to work at heights.

  • GCSE level education or functional skills, or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • NVQ level 1&2 in Cleaning Sciences or equivalent

Experience
