We're looking for someone to join our reception and clerical team, where you’ll help ensure the smooth running of our busy Emergency Department. You’ll provide a professional and compassionate service, supporting patients, families, and medical staff in critical moments. We’re looking for someone with a caring attitude, quick thinking, and a desire to help.

About You:

  • Educated to GCSE level or have equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience in a public-facing role with general office responsibilities.

  • Enthusiastic and compassionate with the ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.

  • A team player with a desire to contribute to the care and support of others.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Deputy Divisional Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a welcoming reception service for patients, ambulance staff and visitors.

  • Support "resus" situations by taking essential patient details.

  • Register patients and ensure accurate data entry in the Careflow PAS system.

  • Direct patients to appropriate areas and answer questions with excellent customer service.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professionalism in challenging situations.

  • Schedule follow-up appointments

  • Previous experience of dealing with the general public in a workplace setting
