We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive team.
As we continue to develop our Band 4 roles following the GPhC's new Initial Education and Training of Pharmacists (IEPT) requirements, we're also able to offer opportunities for Pharmacy Technicians who qualified before June 2022 to upskill to meet these standards.
This varied role offers experience across both our Aseptic Unit and Dispensary, with responsibilities including the preparation of CIVAs, cytotoxic medicines, and TPN, and contributing to inpatient, outpatient and discharge dispensing. You'll also support medicines management services and participate in the cleaning and monitoring of the aseptic suite.

Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC

Previous pharmacy experience (hospital experience is not essential as training will provided)

Accuracy Checking accreditation, or willing to work towards

Strong communication skills and a team player

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Senior Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients under pharmacist supervision

Support aseptic preparation services and maintain cleanroom standards

Participate in patient's own drug usage schemes and medicines management services

Work flexibly to ensure smooth running of the department

Maintain safe working practices following Trust and departmental procedures

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
