Job overview

To provide confidential PA support to the Clinical Governance Lead and also support to the Governance Team. To support incident and risk reporting and the co-ordination of the Healthcare Governance agenda. To provide high quality, comprehensive administration services to the Directorate Healthcare Governance team to ensure robust and efficient processes are in place.

To provide managerial support to services to meet the Healthcare Governance requirements of the organisation, work to minimise risk and improve the quality of care to the people we care for.

Main duties of the job

  • Be responsible for the effective operation of governance admin functions, managing issues efficiently and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Be proficient in the use of Trust software and clinical systems to support service development.
  • Have a high standard of Microsoft Office skills.
  • Achieve and maintain up to date knowledge of department processes to train and advise staff.
  • Support the implementation of effective systems, processes and risk management arrangements
  • Advise and support Datix reporters and approvers with incident management and assist the Governance team in monitoring of the governance email inbox
  • Support the development and implementation of the Directorate Clinical Governance intranet site
  • Organise meetings as and when required, including virtual, including booking venues, arranging hospitality, co-ordinating workshops and events / preparing agendas / distributing papers and to facilitate meetings where necessary
  • Collection of incident, risk, audit and CQC data including the export of data from Datix reports for both local and directorate services

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE C/4 or above in Mathematics and English
  • Educated to Diploma Level 4 or NVQ Level 3 plus other additional knowledge/training e.g ECDL or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of professional or personal development

Experience

  • Experience of working in an administrative setting

  • Navigate around systems Datix, System One, EDMS and Lorenzo or equivalent
  • Experience of working to and meeting tight deadlines and managing own workload
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in an NHS setting
