Band 6 - Band 7 (Dev Role)
Work across the Digital Learning and Change function to provide effective and compelling e-Learning packages, webinars, videos, and online assessments to support use of a range of Electronic Health Record Systems alongside digital and data literacy, skills, willingness and confidence.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will make key contributions by building comprehensive, bespoke e-Learning packages and other content in accordance with any agreed service and design criteria.
The post holder will take on responsibility for learning new technologies, applications and systems across the Trust and designing and building the relevant training courses, to meet the needs of all users. They will also play a fundamental role in evaluating the effectiveness of e-Learning as part of an overall blended learning approach, enabling healthcare professionals and other staff to effectively use Digital systems.
As part of our continually evolving digital team, you will influence the shaping and delivery of our learning and adoption offerings. You will have experience in instructional design and bring new ways of thinking which will help to reimagine how learning and adoption is delivered.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree level education or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrable understanding of the training world, e.g. a relevant training qualification such as Post Graduate Certificate in Education, CIPD Learning and Development Certificate, TAP Diploma in Learning Facilitation and/or (especially) Learning Design
- Evidence of continuous personal & professional development particularly with regards to remaining current with learning and development and best practice
Experience
Essential criteria
- Instructional design background with experience of analysing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating any instructional experience
- Experience of designing, developing, and delivering effective training content for digital systems to end users
- Strong working knowledge of the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR), which is currently SystmOne. Possess an aptitude to become a subject matter expert in SystmOne
- In depth knowledge of SystmOne’s user facing applications. Familiarity with the user interface and user experience
- Delivering projects on time and to budget
- Ability to coach and impart knowledge and experience to others
- Awareness of agile service development and working in multidisciplinary teams
- Good understanding of digital technologies within a wider health context, and how content can be used to enhance the user experience
- Good understanding of how to design user journeys, recognising wider contexts, and the importance of user-centred design
- Good understanding of GDPR, privacy and legal implications associated with the creation and publication of content; this includes awareness of issues such as intellectual property, copyright, licensing, and safeguarding
