Are you a registered hospital or community pharmacy technician looking to move into secondary care? You will need strong communication and team working skills along with drive and enthusiasm for this role at SASH.  Depending on your experience you may be able join us a band 5 immediately.  Alternatively, join us as band 4 and when you have gained your accuracy checking and medicines management accreditations you will move to band 5. Full training is provided in order for you to progress.

Our technician posts are rotational including Acute Medicine, General Medicine, Respiratory, Cardiology, Stroke, Elderly, Gastroenterology, Emergency Department, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Cancer Services, Clinical Trials and Distribution.  Additionally, some of our elderly wards are now technician-led, with pharmacist clinical support as needed. We are ideally looking for a technician with hospital experience who has used EPMA, however we are happy to develop community-based technicians who are not afraid of change and who have the determination and ambition to make a difference to patient care in this sector.

Our Pharmacy Department is a friendly and progressive department that benefits from an extremely successful working relationship between our clinical and technical teams, with a strong emphasis on training and development. We welcome those that are patient-focused and want to deliver a high quality clinical service.
