Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join the Safeguarding Team as an administrator. This post would be best suited to those who have previous experience in an administrative role.
Post holder will be required to provide an efficient administrative service for the Safeguarding Children, Safeguarding Adult, MCA and Learning Disability teams. The ability to work independently and as part of a team following the policies and procedures for the department is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, flexibility, and reliability with an organised approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
The role can be challenging at times due to the nature of the work so we are seeking an individual who is resilient. You will be joining an established team who can offer ongoing support.

Main duties of the job
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Safeguarding Adults, Children, MCA and Learning Disability Teams thereby assisting in the provision of a quality service to all staff including but not limited to minute taking, telephone cover, processing confidential information on our electronic patient information system.
This list is not exhaustive and the successful applicant will be required to be flexible to the needs of the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To provide a high quality, professional and comprehensive administrative support to the Safeguarding Adults, Children, Maternity, MCA and Learning Disability Teams thereby assisting in the provision of a quality service to all staff including data input, dealing with telephone calls and emails, collating research information for meetings, adding and updating eRecord RAPA alerts, management of electronic diaries and meetings, formal and informal minute taking.
- Contribute to a comprehensive efficient and effective administration and clerical service to the Safeguarding Teams, MCA, Maternity and Learning Disability Teams.
- Provide cover and assistance in the department for other administrators as required.
- Deal with telephone enquiries directly or ensure the efficient transfer to ensure prompt & efficient action.

Qualifications & Education
Essential criteria
- Good standard of English at GCSE 4 or equivalent level
- RSA 3 or equivalent qualification / experience in office software packages
Desirable criteria
- ECDL or MOST computer qualification
Knowledge & Experience

- Significant office administration experience
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of systems e.g. eRecord, SystmOne, Summary Care Record
- Awareness of policies and procedures of the Trust
- Experience of working with databases/spreadsheets
