SALARY £19.737 - £21.142 Per Annum
37.5 hours a week
3 shift patterns- 07.00am – 15.00pm - 10am-6pm and 14.00pm- 22.00pm

Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate Domestic and Ward hostess services throughout the Trust with specific responsibility for the delivery of catering and cleaning services at ward and departmental level. To ensure work is carried out in such a manner as to enhance patient care, and in line with statutory requirements, so as to provide a clean and safe environment at all times.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Maintain staff rotas, making temporary adjustments to provide an efficient
Process all annual leave requests ensuring minimum staffing levels are
Monitor catering and cleaning standards, ensuring remedial action is
implemented as required
Ensure that Hotel Services Manager and ward Managers are kept up to date with issues which may affect staff welfare or service levels
Provide emergency cover in the absence of Ward Hostess staff
Liaise with users of the services regarding quality issues
Assist with recruitment and selection of staff
Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum of Two years’ experience in a Hotel Services Environment, at operative level
- Good general education
Skills and Abilities
- The ability and experience to work for a large proportion of time autonomously, in accordance with operational plans and national Guidelines, and with regular reference to a manager when required.
- The ability to organise and prioritise effectively
- Must be able to communicate with various groups at various levels where they may be barriers to understanding,
- Awareness of the statutory requirements governing own areas of specialty.
- Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues
- Numerical skills including the ability to calculate hours worked and resolve pay queries
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
