Job overview

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is working with partners across the care community to deliver a unique, cross care setting, real time, patient centric electronic health record that will improve the quality and delivery of care to the patient.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the IT Clinical Systems Team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 6 IT Clinical Systems Specialist. The team you would be joining supports the services of ANHSFT and also our wider Place partners such as Bradford Teaching Hopsital Trust in their ongoing use and development of TPP SystmOne for their clinical and operational teams.

 

The primary project for the successful candidate will be to act as the SystmOne Specialist in our Trust’s move to and ongoing support of SystmOne as the Primary Record

Main duties of the job

·       Work as part of the IT Clinical Systems Team supporting the ongoing use and development of TPP SystmOne and ICE for ANHSFT services and wider Place partners such as BTHFT.

          Ensure effective provision and communication of complex system requirements, corporate issues, and analysis through comprehensive written reports as well as negotiate resolutions primarily with Trust management, external system suppliers and within the Project and Management Team. 

·       Provide specialist support and advice on systems specification, configuration and requirements, functionality, implementation, and roll out across the organisation to support all aspects of care, service planning, policy-making and accountability.

·        Involved in the design and build of new services and operational practices.

·         Review existing systems and processes and ensure still fit for purpose.

·        Work effectively between bespoke projects, the Integrated Health Record Programme and its requirements as well as ‘business as usual’ systems changes and developments.

·         Provide and receive highly complex and sensitive information; agreement or co-operation required; present complex and sensitive information to large groups

·        Coordinate the development and adaptation of information system(s) to meet stakeholder requirements whether that be by the Clinical IT Systems Team or liaising with external third party system supplier

Education/Training/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or experience in an IT service environment with evidence of relevant skills equivalent to Degree level
  • SystmOne Train the Trainer
  • Knowledge and experience of using specialist IT electronic healthcare record systems, partculalrly TPP SystmOne and CliniSys ICE
  • Show evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Microsoft Office qualifications – MOS expert level or ECDL Advanced
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent project management methodology)
  • ISEB IT Service Management (ITIL V3) Foundation

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience of managing comprehensive patient systems to support the provision of patient care
  • SystmOne usage experience
  • Relevant experience within a health care setting
Desirable criteria
  • Project Delivery experience
  • Previous experience of supporting change within clinical environments
  • Previous experience of producing training material
