Job overview
We are seeking a motivated, experienced and compassionate Band 6 Stroke Coordinator / Stroke Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated stroke team at Airedale General Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a passion for stroke care to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred services across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure that appropriate professional, legal and statutory requirements are complied with and that agreed Trust policies and procedures are implemented in an informal manner.
2. Participate in working groups, professional advisory committees as and when necessary, whilst ensuring professional nursing standards are maintained in accordance with NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
3. Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership skills enabling multi professional culture of continuous staff learning and practice development.
4. Demonstrate creativity, energy and inspiration in motivating others.
5. Participate in clinical supervision.
6. Maintain links with the Cardiac/Stroke networks regarding new practices.
7. Evaluate new evidence to determine relevance and amend practice if appropriate.
