Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Digital Clinical Systems Facilitator to join our Digital Clinical Systems Team.

The team provide clinical system support to end users adding data to electronic patient records across Sirona which covers community-based healthcare across BNSSG (Bristol, North Somerset and South Glos).

The role is part home based, connecting with end users via phone or Microsoft teams. We also support end users at multiple different sites across BNSSG, so having a clean driving license and access to a car is essential.

You will work within the Digital department and work alongside our IT Service Desk, Desktop Engineers, IT Training, Business Intelligence teams.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to communicate effectively with our systems users; approach workload with a flexible attitude; meet face-to-face with end-users on large projects; support with hardware and digital clinical systems such as EMIS, Connecting Care, and Adastra; implement new processes/systems; deliver training.

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • A good standard of education in English, Math and IT or business studies to A-level or equivalent (e.g. HNC, foundation course etc.).
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
  • Intermediate or advanced Visio skills.
  • Experience of business process mapping.
  • Valid driving license and own transport.
Desirable criteria
  • Expert knowledge of EMIS configuration and usage.
  • Implementation of systems on mobile devices.
  • Evidence of on-going technical or systems development.
  • Project or change management qualification.
  • ISEB business analysis qualification or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL foundation or above qualifications.
  • Experience of alternative clinical systems used in a community healthcare environment.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Ability to train users either in person or over the telephone.
  • Significant relevant experience working in a customer facing role.
  • Experience of working on a big project.
  • Experience of working with mobile devices.
  • Working in a client facing environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Able to demonstrate creativity in utilising different communication methods to engage stakeholders.
  • Experience working with EMIS.
  • Knowledge of implementing new processes/systems.
  • Experience of configuring systems in a similar health care setting.
  • Experience of training end users in clinical or other systems.
