Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Adult ADHD Service
The service offers support and treatment to adults diagnosed with ADHD.
Role requires full ANP qualifications
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering treatment to adults diagnosed with ADHD in various hubs across the city. Other members of the team include Consultant Psychiatrists, Hub Manager, Specialist Assessment Clinicians, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and STR workers. The ability to work independently across the city is therefore essential.
The post holder will, in conjunction with the management team, provide strong clinical leadership and expertise to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that high standards are maintained.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will hold a caseload and will manage regular follow up and medication counselling clinics.
Applicants must be highly motivated, have a genuine interest in ADHD/neurodevelopmental conditions and have experience in mental health care.

- Qualified Nurse, Degree or diploma qualified.
Desirable criteria
- First Degree level, Independent prescriber

- History of holding responsibility and accountability for nursing decisions and empowering nurses to make difficult clinical decisions

- Knowledge & experience of NICE guidance relating to neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD & autism)

- Ability to work in a pressured environment and manage competing priorities
