Administration Assistant - Apprentice

NHS AfC: Band 2

Job overview

THIS POSITION IS A FIXED-TERM TRAINING/APPRENTICE CONTRACT FOR 24 MONTHS

An exciting role has arisen at HEIW to join our team as an apprentice whilst undertaking a Business Administration Apprenticeship alongside your work. Fully funded and supported by HEIW as your employer and College Y Cymoedd as the education provider.

The role is offered on a hybrid working model, with the requirement to attend HEIW offices a minimum of two days a week, following a successful induction period. The course structure is flexible and tailored to meet the specific requirements of the employer and the apprentice. It includes a mix of on-the-job training, classroom-based learning, and self-study. The majority of the learning takes place on-the-job, while approximately four mandatory units are assessed via an online, multiple-choice test on campus. These tests are scheduled in advance with the employer and learner.

Although the successful candidate will aim to complete the course within 15 months, the employment contract will last for 24 months. At the end of the training contract, there may be a permanent position available, subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship programme and vacancies within the team.
