Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dermatology team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.  

This role will enable an ST3+ or equivalent level doctor to consolidate knowledge, skills, and confidence to enable future career progression, including achievement of requirements for application to specialty training.  The minimum skill requirement is 4 years of post-graduate experience. 

Some aspects of the role can be tailored to the individual needs of the post-holder, taking account of previous relevant experience. 

A clinical supervisor will be allocated and will provide support for the duration of the placement including helping you develop a portfolio and complete SLEs to evidence learning and training.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • MBChB or equivalent.
  • MRCP part 1
  • GMC registered with license to practise.
Desirable criteria
  • ALS, provider certification
  • Full MRCP

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum of 4 years post-graduate clinical experience (2 of which to relate to relevant specialty).
  • Knowledge and current experience of the NHS.
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching delivery experience (any modality) to UG medical students.
  • Completion of IMT training or equivalent Previous experience of working in general medicine
  • Evidence of completing audit / quality improvement project and having implanted change to practice

Skills

Essential criteria
  • General medicine medical presentations
  • Good understanding of the secondary care environment.
  • Evidence of reflective practice.
