Job overview

Mental Health Act Co-ordinator required for a busy Mental Health Act department based in Priority House Hospital, Maidstone.

The post holder must have knowledge of working with the Mental Health Act legislation and the Code of Practice and be fully sighted on the administration and legislation.

Main duties of the job

To scrutinise section paperwork

To ensure deadlines are met in regards to patient appeals/reviews

To liaise with all professionals and provide advice on the Mental Health Act

To provide training to all professionals on the Mental Health Act

To manage a Mental Health Act Administrator and guide them through the processes of the legislation

  • At least 2 years knowledge of working with the MHA
