NHS AfC: Band 7

ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental and health care, innovation and improvement. So it is a very exciting time for you to come and work for us. Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multidisciplinary Community Eating Disorders Service, which will also involve some support within our Intensive Day Service, working with children and adolescents. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic experienced Dietitian to join this specialist area within our developing service.

The successful candidate will bring adaptable and transferable dietetic skills to provide specialist assessment, treatment and nutritional support for children and young people with eating disorders. Strong communication and motivational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Main duties of the job

This role requires emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to build positive, therapeutic relationships with children, young people and their families. The post holder will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and will be supported by an experienced Dietitian to ensure positive outcomes for the young people we support.

Our clinics are readily accessible from North London (Luton and Dunstable) or Milton Keynes and

Northampton (Mid Beds and Bedford). ELFT offer attractive recruitment packages and in Beds and

Luton CEDS we are committed to offering our staff the opportunity to develop their skills.
