Job overview
Applicants are invited for the Advanced clinic fellow in movement disorders (SPR Level) working at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square.
The holder of this post will work in the Movement disorders firm. The post holder will have the same educational opportunities and clinical and educational supervision arrangements as the other neurology/stroke SpRs with NTNs.
This position is available from August 2025 for 12 months and is suitable for candidates who are post CCT or wishing to do an OOPT, subject to appropriate approvals/ permissions from their TPD.
Main duties of the job
The clinical fellow will have primary charge of the day to day care of patients under the movement disorders firm. Clinical duties will include attending consultant ward rounds, attending outpatient clinics and mdt meetings. The post holder will provide neurological assessment and clerking at admission and discharge of all patients.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Completion of CMT training or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- Experience in Neurology and/or Stroke and keen interest in pursuing career in Neurology/ Stroke
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise
- Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, Good Clinical Practice and GDPR
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in the NHS
- Understanding of research methodology
Experience

- Management of medical or neurology inpatients
