Team Lead

Band 7

Job overview

A exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced or aspiring leader to join the team leadership team within the Bury Podiatry Service  .

The Bury podiatry team consists of over 10 clinical staff. The service operates across community and acute locations delivering MSK podiatry,  foot-care, and high risk foot management both in clinics, on wards and in domiciliary locations.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be a HCPC registered Podiatrist, with proven extensive clinical experience. In addition to providing professional and operational leadership, you will be responsible for your own designated MSK clinical caseload, with a job plan split of 60/40 between MSK and team leader.

The Team Leader will analyse data, monitor waiting times and timetable staff to meet the needs of the department and clinical pathways, and support compliance against key performance indicators. This will involve the movement of staff to cover a broad range of clinics.

The Team Leader will also manage everyday operational issues for the designated team working within Trust corporate and clinical governance frameworks with the primary aim of delivering a safe and effective Podiatry Service based upon national guidance, Trust policies and evidence based practice which meets the needs of children and adults in the local community.

As Team Leader you will participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of new starters.
