Job overview
The Breast radiology Team at NMGH has a vacancy for a full time Mammographer to join their friendly and busy breast multi-professional team. We offer a state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment service.
Our department is committed to Radiographer role extension and CPD. We have a Consultant Radiographer, Clinical Specialists and Advanced Practitioners undertaking Ultrasound guided examination and intervention, stereotactic interventional procedures and film-reading, and Mammography Associates performing symptomatic mammography.
A flexible approach to work will be required as weekend and evening sessions are occasionally scheduled to meet the demands of the expanding symptomatic workload.
You must have HCPC registration as a Radiographer. A Postgraduate Award in Mammography is desirable, but training will be provided if the qualification is not held.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist in the provision and delivery of follow-up and symptomatic and Family History mammography . Further requirements include assisting in stereo-tactic interventional.
As a qualified mammographer supervision and training of students, trainee Mammographers and Assistant Practitioners is a requirement.
A mammographer is expected to produce high quality images in a safe and caring manner. It necessitates working within a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standards of patient care.

- DCR® or BSc(Hons) Radiography
- HPC Registered
Desirable criteria
- Certificate of competence in mammography/Post Graduate award in Mammography Principles and Practice
Experience

- Clinical experience in general imaging
- Sound knowledge of IRMER and IR99
