Job overview
This is a new post which is being created to develop and improve the provision of Geriatric Medicine liaison services to surgical specialties in Cwm Ta Morgannwg University Health Board.
The postholder will be based at either Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil or Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant. Both hospitals have acute beds covering a range of surgical and medical specialties. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide senior experienced clinical leadership in Royal Glamorgan Hospital or Prince Charles Hospital and to support the development of the integrated medical/surgical model for older people. The post holder will also provide senior medical advice and support to our teams of community/specialist nurses and to GPs when required.
