Job overview
Would you like to work in a role focused on ensuring that patients receive excellent care?
If so, we are seeking hardworking individuals to join our friendly and diverse team as Imaging Assistants in the Radiology Department at Nottingham University Hospitals. This role will be based in CT and X-ray across our sites. Our service runs 7 days a week/365 days a year. You will be working shifts between the hours of 8am and midnight. Presently some areas are undergoing change and will be introducing 12 hour shifts.
As in Imaging Assistant, you will perform caring activities such as greeting patients, preparing them for their examinations, ensuring patients' needs and privacy and dignity are met and assisting the clinical team to deliver a professional and high standard of care.
We are looking for candidates who are approachable and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as you will be required to deal with patients who may be anxious or unwell.
Previous healthcare experience is not essential but desirable and we will provide a full induction and training to carry out your duties.

Your main duties will be to provide clinical support to assist in the smooth running of the Radiology Department. Your focus will be to ensure that patient’s needs and welfare are attended to, and that their visit to the radiology department is efficient and coordinated.
You will work within CT and X-Ray joining a rotation that covers our departments at QMC, City Hospital and the Treatment Centre. This is a 7 day role with hours of work between 8am and midnight depending on your rota.
Our future will involve working at the new Community Diagnostic Centre which is to be based in the centre of Nottingham.
As an Imaging Assistant in Radiology, there is the opportunity to support a variety of services from fracture clinics, obstetric scanning and biopsy and minor procedures to name a few.
